Twenty-five years ago, a young Toni Braxton not only graced the American Music Awards stage, but also took home some hardware that night. On Sunday (Nov. 24), donning her signature short hair cut, Braxton delivered an enchanting performance of her Hot 100 No. 1 hit “Un-Break My Heart” at the 2019 AMAs in Los Angeles.
The singer appeared angelic alongside her army of violinists, who complimented her dulcet vocals. Clad in white, Braxton relished the atmosphere, which found many audience members soaking in the nostalgia and belting her lyrics with gusto.
For Braxton, tonight marks her first AMA performance since 2001. Then, the seven-time AMA award-winner took two awards for favorite soul/R&B female and favorite soul/R&B award.
