Kane Brown’s concert Friday at Staples Center in Los Angeles has been postponed until Jan 9, arena officials announced Monday (Oct. 14) in a news release. The show is postponed following the death of Brown’s drummer Kenny Dixon in a car crash on Saturday.

The band, as well as Dixon’s fiancée, Sarah Hedrick, confirmed the news of his death over the weekend.

“I’m at a loss of words,” Hedrick wrote on Instagram. “I don’t even know how to write this or ever thought I would have to. Kenny passed away last night in a car accident. I know I have to be strong for Levi and God is gonna pull us through this. We have a forever guardian angel watching above us now. Please keep Levi, my family, and Kenny’s family in your prayers.”

Fans who purchased tickets to the  concert, which is part of Staples Center’s yearlong celebration of the arena’s 20th anniversary, should hold on to their tickets for the rescheduled Jan. 9 show.

“Our heartfelt condolences go out to Kane, his entire team and to the family of his long-time drummer Kenny Dixon for their tragic loss this weekend,” a statement from Staples Center reads.
