BILLBOARD ANNOUNCES CHART DELAY AFTER TYLER, THE CREATOR QUESTIONED TIDAL’S PRACTICES
Billboard has reported technical difficulties which in turn has delayed them from announcing the charts this week. The news of the delay comes after Tyler, The Creator took to social media to criticize TIDAL’s practices. According to TheShadeRoom, the rapper accused the service of manipulating streaming records, which could affect who places No. 1 on the Billboard charts. Tyler also called TIDAL out for allowing Meek Mill’s album, “Wins & Losses,” to be streamed for free in front of the subscriber paywall, which could potentially affect the chart as well. The site went on to report that Meek, along with Tyler’s album, “Flower Boy,” and Lana Del Rey’s record, “Lust For Life,” were projected to sell within the 85-90k range, which is why Tyler decided to put TIDAL on blast in a series of tweets, which have since been deleted.
Billboard released a statement, saying, “Due to this issue, and because there is a close race for No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, Billboard is holding back the release of all of its Aug. 12-dated charts until we get further clarity from the data provider. The chart results will be announced and posted as soon as possible this week. Thank you for your patience.”

The label sued Five Finger Death Punch in 2016 for breach of contract, alleging that the group wanted to rush the recording of a new album. The band signed a new North American recording deal with Rise Records last year.

It was a bit of a nightmare.” Welch created the tops from “mountains of triple-XL tees,” purchased at Kmart, that she chopped up and remade using her own pattern. The seven variations of the shirt will go on sale Thursday exclusively on the brand’s site, xKarla – and in Los Angeles at a Maxfield pop-up beginning August 6th. The shirts retail for $30 a pop.
